Enchant Christmas – Washington, DC

Enchant Christmas is apparently the world’s largest light maze and market!  It changes locations each year, and this year it is in Washington DC!  The event takes place in Nationals Park and is available until December 29.

Though tickets are a bit pricey, there are discounts for children, Seniors, Military, students, and family packs.  Be careful when selecting tickets and make sure that you select the correct city!  Enchant is also located in St. Petersburg, FL and Seattle, WA this year.

I know the website says it is the world’s largest light maze, but I did not think it would be as large as it is!  It takes up nearly the entire baseball field in Nats Stadium!

Within the huge light maze, you can search for all 9 hidden reindeer.  This is more for the children, because you can spot antlers sticking up over the walls – HOWEVER it was still cute.

There are different light decorations in each section which made it really fun to explore the whole thing. The maze is very instagram-able (for my fellow millennials)!

The maze borders the festive ice skating rink, which offers rental skates if needed.  The maze/skating area has its own snack and drink stand, so you don’t have to go back up the stairs to grab a refill!

There are drink stands scattered throughout, so I would advise skipping the first booth at the entrance.  The lines are much shorter once you go further into the stadium.

We didn’t try any of the food, but there were a lot of local food vendors.  There are warm drinks available, like hot chocolate and mulled wine.  I opted for a cocktail so I could drink out of the cute lightbulb cup. 🙂

The Christmas market overlooking the maze has kiosks with more than 40 local artisans, plus food and drinks.  The market offers a variety of vendors, and they change out over time.  There is a lot of really cool art, including DC-related pieces!

I attended on Sunday, December 1 when they had Paws for Claus!  There were lots of doggos all around!  It was so much fun.  There were vendors selling dog treats, and lots of furry friends for my pup to play with!

Dogs were even allowed to meet Santa.  Santa was a really good sport because my dog does not sit still and tried to lick his face!

Last but not least – there are live performances!  There is a stage near the food kiosks with a singer and band performances.  Additionally, a band randomly walked out and performed near the entrance after we had arrived!  Once you enter, you can stay until close so there is a ton to take advantage of!

Enchant was more fun than I expected!  I felt like a little kid while exploring the maze.  All of my guilty pleasures from the holiday season in one place – Christmas lights, shopping, and drinks!
